Dr Jean Waters
Trustee
Why do I want to be a Barnwood Trustee?
I spent 27 years in the NHS as a doctor until retiring due to Motor Neurone Disease in 2006. Since then I have tried to represent the voice of disabled people at local, regional and national level, including spending time as a trustee for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and chairing the Gloucestershire branch.
What experience do I bring to the Trust?
I currently co-chair the Gloucestershire Physical Disabilities and Sensory Impairment partnership board and chair the newly formed Gloucestershire Neurology Clinical programme group. Nationally I chair the wheelchair advisory group at NHS England and am a member of the board of the Wheelchair Alliance.
