Dr Jean Waters

Trustee

Jean spent 27 years in the NHS as a doctor, with 17 years as Consultant Anaesthetist at Gloucestershire NHS Foundation Trust. Jean retired due to Motor Neurone Disease in 2006. Since then Jean has represented the voice of disabled people at local, regional and national level, including being a trustee and vice-chair of the Motor Neurone Disease Association and is still actively involved with the Gloucestershire branch.

Jean is currently co-chair of the Gloucestershire Physical Disabilities and Sensory Impairment partnership board, chair of the Personal Wheelchair Budgets steering group at NHS England and a member of the national Wheelchair Leadership Alliance.
