What am I responsible for?
I work alongside disabled people and people who experience mental health challenges to connect them into our engagement activities at Barnwood.
What brings me here?
I have always cared about justice and working with groups of people to make the changes they want to see. This has included young people in their communities and schools and people living with addiction.
More recently my work has involved working with groups of disabled people and/or people with mental health challenges to deliver workshops that raised awareness of their experiences.
My passion for making sure every voice is heard, especially those considered ‘different’ stems from my own experiences of mental health challenges and neurodiversity.
What am I working on?
I am working on a pilot project with the other Connectors – we want to make it easy for people to be connected into and influence the Trust and what it does to improve conditions for people in Gloucestershire.
I would love to hear from you if you have ideas about this. I have a particular interest in hearing and learning from people with sensory impairments, people who are neurodiverse and or have learning disabilities.
What do I enjoy spending time doing for my own wellbeing?
Spending time outdoors, walking, growing things, cycling and swimming. I enjoy dancing and yoga and spending time with my nieces and nephews. (She/her)
