Workshop: Communication for Community Groups

Date: 5th June 2019

Time: 9.45 – 3pm

Venue: Hall 1, Quedgeley Community Centre, 15-17 School Lane, Quedgeley, Gloucester. GL2 4PJ.

Notes: Free parking available on site.

Facilitated by members of the Marketing & Communications Team at Barnwood Trust, this workshop invites members of community groups to discuss and share practical tools to communicate their activities via traditional marketing, print, social media, blogs and photography to showcase their work.

Together we will outline the different methods of communicating, the pros and cons of using a range of tools, and come up with ideas to help get the word out about what you and your community group are doing. We will get to see how people in other community groups have shared their story and have a go at using some of these newly learned skills.

By the end of this workshop you will ;

  • Have an insight into different communication methods to promote your group.
  • Gain knowledge and confidence in communicating your message.
  • Learn practical skills in writing, photography and video.

This workshop is delivered by colleagues from Barnwood Trust www.barnwoodtrust.org
