Workshop: Epilepsy Awareness

Notes: The nearest car park is the Merrywalks multistorey car park, Merrywalks, Stroud, GL5 1RR. The venue is a 4 minutes walk from this car park.

In this short session you will gain an introduction to epilepsy, a common condition that affects thousands of people in the UK. This workshop aims to increase your awareness of the condition and covers information on the different types of seizures. You will also learn about diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy. The workshop aims to provide an insight into those living with the condition and what do to if you witness a seizure.

By the end of this workshop you will have:

  • Developed an understanding of Epilepsy.
  • Increased confidence in how to respond in a situation when you witness a seizure.

This workshop is facilitated by Epilepsy Action

This workshop has a maximum capacity of 15 attendees and places are reserved on a first come, first serve basis. If you book onto the workshop after the capacity has been reached, we’ll place you on a waiting list and let you know when a place becomes available.

All our workshops are free to attend and each workshop has a limited number of spaces. If you have booked a place on a workshop but you are unable to attend, please get in touch as soon as possible by emailing caroline.sperko@barnwoodtrust.org or calling 01452 634018 to let us know. If you don’t let us know and simply miss the workshop, unfortunately we will need to charge £15 for the cost of the place. Thank you for your understanding.
