Transparency in Our Funding
At Barnwood Trust we are committed to transparency, and we want to be as open as possible about how we award our grants. Between 2023 and 2026, Barnwood Trust will release over £20 million pounds in grants to fund work aligned with our strategic goals. On this page you can find information about grants recently awarded.
You can see more detailed info on each grant awarded, including short descriptions of activities funded on the Grants Awarded page, and detailed award info through 360 Giving.

Award rate: Grant Applications in 2024-2025
Most funding rounds have now implemented a 2-stage application process. Organisations submit an initial, brief expression of interest which are shortlisted, with a smaller number of applications invited to complete a full application and pass through a due diligence check.

Geographic Distribution
This figure shows the total combined spend of organisational funding to date by district within the county, by main office location of the organisation. We recognise that many funded organisations serve people form multiple districts or deliver activities outside of the district where their main office is based.
A small number of organisations we fund have main office locations outside the county, but all funded activities take place in Gloucestershire and benefit the people who live here.
Funded Partner Programme
Our largest funding programme supports the ongoing sustainability and development of VCSE organisations, and their ability to deliver a diverse range of activities aligned with the Trust’s goals: opportunity, inclusion, and access to rights for disabled people and people with mental health conditions in Gloucestershire.
