Now recruiting
We are recruiting for two new trustees
Trustees are volunteers from all walks of life. They are legally responsible for ensuring the Trust is well run, financially stable and able to meet its charitable aims and purpose. Trustees support and shape the work and strategic direction of the Trust. They’re not involved in the day-to-day work, but offer support and challenge to the Chief Executive and Leadership Team.
Previous experience is not essential; it’s more important to us that new Trustees share our values and bring fresh ideas and new perspectives.
Being a Trustee at Barnwood is an rewarding opportunity to gain strategic experience and develop skills.
Before applying we encourage you to join a ‘Meet the Trustee’ session. These are taking place as follows:
- Thursday 19th March at 1:30 – 2:30 pm online via Teams
- Tuesday 24th March 12:00 – 1:00 pm at Overton House
- Thursday 9th April at 12:00 – 1:00 pm online via Teams
Please download the Trustee Recruitment Pack below for more information.
We want our application process to be right for you, so if there’s anything you think we can do to make this process more straightforward for you please contact elsa.henderson@barnwoodtrust.org or call 01242 539 935 to discuss what support we can offer.
To apply please submit an ‘Expression of Interest’, telling us:
- What interests you about Barnwood Trust and why you would like to become a Trustee?
- How would you bring your lived and/or learned experience to Barnwood to help us achieve our mission?
You can submit your Expression of Interest in whatever form works best for you (e.g. written, recorded, video etc.).
Send it to elsa.henderson@barnwoodtrust.org by 5.00pm on Wednesday 15th April.
Accessibility in Nature Film
We are looking for up to 5 people to work with us who are confident to share in film what it means to them for nature spaces to be accessible. These films will be shared on the new Access to Nature Hub.
Individuals will share on film, based on their personal experience, what nature spaces being accessible means to them. This might include parking, footpaths, signage, information, seating or something else. The finished film will be approximately 3 minutes long.
How to get involved
Please read the attached project brief and person specification. If it seems like something you’d like to be part of please get in touch.
We will then arrange a time to talk through the project and ask some questions. Deadline for responses is midday on Monday the 16th of February.
