Grants for you
Unfortunately due to the large number of applications that we have received, the Individual Grants program is currently closed to new applications and we are unable to say at the moment when we will be able to reopen.
It can take up to 4 weeks to process your application so please bear with us, we will be in touch as soon as we can.
If you would like to speak to the Grants team about your grant application, email them on email@example.com or call on freephone 0800 4220404 (Tuesday to Thursday, 10.00am – 4.00pm, except bank holidays).
What can I apply for?
If you live in Gloucestershire and you have a disability or a long-term mental health challenge, you can apply for a Barnwood Trust individual grant.
We welcome applications for funding towards certain household items to support your wellbeing; or for a mobility aid.
If you are eligible and cannot afford it yourself, you can apply to us for:
- For your home: a cooker, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, bed or flooring
- For your wellbeing: a television, laptop or tablet, an online course, home exercise equipment or materials for a hobby.
- For your mobility: a riser recliner, mobility scooter or disability aid
Things to be aware of
If you have had a grant from us in the last 12 months we may not be able to award another grant. Each household has a limit of £1,500 and there are maximum amounts allowed for your house, your wellbeing or your mobility. If you are unsure, please email us to check on firstname.lastname@example.org
All items applied for are subject to availability and we are unable to fund activities that go against government safety guidelines or for ongoing household expenses. We are unable to fund items twice or to fund items already paid for. There are value limits for the individual grants we award in a 12-month rolling cycle. Any grant award will stay open for 3 months only. Barnwood is unable to fund items available via the council or NHS.
