Get involved
Building belonging in Gloucestershire is all about joining in. Everybody has something to contribute to help create the best possible county to live, work and play in. We want to hear from you if you have an idea or a desire to get involved.
Visit our Make a start page to discover ideas of what is possible for you and for your community – from learning a new skill or gaining confidence to take part to starting a community group to getting together with all your neighbours. You can take a look at our Stories pages to get inspiration about the types of things other people have already achieved.
Barnwood Trust has a number of projects which all come together to make Gloucestershire a more inclusive place to live. We have a regular programme of workshops which are free to attend, such as “Asset-based community development” and “Understanding how people are excluded”. Some of our workshops are led by trainers with lived-experience of a disability or mental health problem.
We also attend over 50 events every year in and around Gloucestershire to promote inclusivity in the county (you can usually spot us with Barney our Barnwood Trust camper van!)
Visit our News section to stay up-to-date on what is happening and don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram to keep in touch.
Best wishes
