Sofab Sports
Through our social investments, we back organisations in Gloucestershire to create change for disabled people and people with mental health conditions.
In 2025, we invested in Sofab Sports CIC a social enterprise, based in Brockworth, which sells sportswear. Sofab’s mission is to provide training and paid employment opportunities for individuals overcoming various hardships in their lives with 60% of their workforce having a physical or mental disability, previously been homeless or are reforming and reintegrating back into mainstream society.
In October, the team attended the 2025 eBay Top Seller Awards in London, where they won the Judge’s Choice Award. This recognition included a £10,000 prize and tailored business support from eBay. The event allowed Sofab Sports to build further connections within eBay and discuss future opportunities, around eBay Live and social media content. Since the awards, they have already featured in an eBay video.
Throughout November, efforts shifted to preparing for the festive period which involved streamlining their warehouse and instore operations. They delivered a successful Black Friday sale and hosted a 13‑hour live selling stream.
Continuing a yearly tradition, Sofab Sports supported the Gloucester Foodbank with the aim to exceed last year’s donation, which was 47.55 kg of food and essential items, equivalent to 113 meals.
They also welcomed a new team member in Bristol, with the role being their very first job. Since joining, they have gained experience using the tills, packing orders and streaming.
The team are now planning their goals for the next few months looking at ways to further develop Sofab Sports.
