What am I responsible for?

I oversee the work of Barnwood Trust’s Funding Team, and work with people across the Trust and externally to ensure our funding and social investment programmes are well-run, and have the greatest possible impact for people in Gloucestershire.

What brings me here?

My background is in inclusive project-based funding for national organisations, in particular in arts, voluntary and wider community contexts. Barnwood Trust’s inclusive, co-created approach to funding is what attracted me to the organisation, and I’m delighted to help drive forward this approach through my work.

What am I working on?

While I oversee all of the Funding Team’s work, I am currently taking the lead on our Digital Inclusion Fund, which involves:

  • working with colleagues across the Trust to develop the fund’s monitoring and evaluation framework,
  • inducting our panel of experts who will decide which project(s) to fund, and
  • using our learning from this process to develop future commissioned project funding rounds.

I am also developing relationships with other funders to help shape our new social investment strategy.

What do I enjoy spending time doing for my own wellbeing?

I love all things arty, especially a good piece of theatre. I enjoy putting the world to rights on a good, long hike with friends. I also love taking the time to cook a big, hearty meal; I find it a very mindful activity, and getting to eat it at the end is an added bonus!
