What am I responsible for?

My job is to lead the Involvement and Participation Team. I manage the development and delivery of Barnwood Circle, the Trust’s membership programme to involve disabled people and people with mental health conditions in our work.

 

What brings me here?

Having worked in participation with a local authority for 15 years, which was focused on developing and improving social care services, I decided it was time for a change and a new challenge. This role is exactly what I was looking for.

 

What do I enjoy spending time doing for my own wellbeing?

I’m really interested in dog training and behaviour. I trained my last dog to be a certified school dog. I took him into a primary school to listen to children read and develop their understanding of how to keep safe around dogs. I enjoy walks in the countryside with my black labrador, Fred.
