What am I responsible for?

My role is to build relationships with the brilliant organisations throughout the county who have Barnwood funding and to support new organisations through the process of applying. I do the administration so that applications get processed and grants paid on time and also work with our funded organisations to understand what the impact of our funding is and how we can share that to make Gloucestershire a better place for disabled people and people with mental health conditions.

What brings me here?

I’ve worked in the charity sector for the last 15 years, with a focus on early intervention and mental health charities. Most recently I’ve been working in a freelance capacity supporting small, local charities with their fundraising and organisational development. After spending so long applying for funding for great causes it’s good to be on this side of the fence, working to make sure money can get to the organisations who can really make a difference.

What do I enjoy spending time doing in your spare time?

I’m a fan of romance novels, Worlds Strongest Man, crochet, cosy crime TV shows, running, imaginative play with my 8 year old and scrolling social media when I should know better.
