What am I responsible for?

My job is to award Barnwood’s grants to individuals. I also develop relationships with referral organisations to make sure we capture learning to feed into our work.

What brings me here?

I came to Gloucestershire 15 years ago and I have been very lucky to have had interesting jobs working with people and helping them to develop their skills through volunteering or short courses.  I my last role, I helped people to access job opportunities and prepare for interviews.

What do I enjoy spending time doing for my own wellbeing?

I enjoy singing in a small folk choir.  We practice and perform songs in 4 part harmony about living and working in the countryside. They were written a long time ago.  Some of these songs were collected and recorded by Cecil Sharp and Percy Grainger of the English Folk Song Society in the early 1900’s. We are trying to keep the Gloucestershire folk songs alive. We get many invitations to perform from all over Gloucestershire.
