Barnwood Trust’s base at Overton House in Cheltenham is walking distance from Cheltenham town centre. Overton House is a welcoming space to help bring people together and is wheelchair accessible throughout.
Barnwood Trust is all about making connections with people and ensuring everybody feels welcome in and around Gloucestershire. So, part of the building is a welcoming hub for people who visit the Trust – to learn new things, share ideas, work on projects or simply to socialise together
Driving: Overton House is on the corner where Overton Park Road meets Overton Road in Cheltenham. We do have some on-site parking but this can often be full, as it is used by staff. We do, however, have a few accessible spaces which are kept available for people with disabilities.
Parking on Overton Road and Overton Park road is free for up to 4 hours (please check signage, as there are a few spots on the road that are pay and display). However, parking limits can be taken advantage of on both roads (park for 4 hours on one road, and then move to the other road for another 4 hours).
Info about bus services from Gloucester, Cirencester, Stroud, Coleford and anywhere in the county to/from Cheltenham can be looked up here – Journey Planner Info. Cheltenham bus station is 10 mins walk from the office.
Nearest train station: Cheltenham Spa Railway Station
Frequent train routes run between Cheltenham and Gloucester, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and London. To get to the town centre from Cheltenham Spa railway station you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes), get the Stagecoach D bus (departs every 10 minutes during peak times) or get a taxi (there is a taxi rank at the station).
We are a 15 minute walk from Cheltenham Spa train station, or a 5 minute taxi ride. From leaving the train station’s main entrance, cross the road and walk along the Honeybourne Line (to the right of the Coffee Shop). Take the first exit (after the play area) up the ramp to the right, and once you meet the road, turn right. Take the second left onto Overton Road (next to the church). Continue along this road until you see the Barnwood Trust building on the left.
We have space for several bicycles to be locked up securely on-site in our covered bike shelter.
Assistance dogs are welcome at Overton House.
