Gloucestershire Funders comes to an end
Gloucestershire Funders was set up in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, to bring funders together and make it easier for local organisations to access support. This operating model will end in March 2026.
What is changing?
Following a period of reflection and consultation, members of the Gloucestershire Funders collective have agreed that the current model has reached its natural conclusion.
The Gloucestershire Funders online funding portal will close to new applications at 5pm on 11th March meaning that applications will no longer be accepted through the Gloucestershire Funders website.
Funders will continue to connect and share insight through a more typical network approach, with opportunities to collaborate where it adds most value.

What this has meant for Barnwood
Being part of Gloucestershire Funders has had a lasting impact on us.
Working in partnership during the pandemic helped us to evolve our own approach to funding. It strengthened our understanding that our role in the county is not only to distribute funding, but to support social change and to partner with others to help make that change happen.
As Eibhlish Fleming, Head of Funding and Influencing at Barnwood Trust, says:

With the closure of the Gloucestershire Funders shared portal, applications to Barnwood Trust will soon be made directly to us.
Our Small Grants programme remains open, subject to available budget, and applications will be received via our website. Further details about the application process will be updated during the week commencing Monday 16th March.
