Empowered Employers: Building inclusive workplaces for all

We have released a film for Empowered Employers with our campaign partners about workplace changes – to make our workplaces more inclusive.

Since the pandemic, the way people work has changed a lot, with more people working from home or having flexible hours. These are changes that disabled people have wanted for a long time, and now they are finally happening more often.

The Empowered Employers campaign is working to keep these positive changes going. By helping businesses in Gloucestershire make changes within their workplaces to provide a better working environment and more job opportunities for disabled people, people with mental health conditions, and neurodivergent people.

This new film explores the adjustments we have learned about through the Empowered Employers learning programme. In the film, Barnwood Trust and 6 other organisations share workplace changes we have made and practical strategies we’ve gained. This has all been possible by collaborating and supporting one another.
