Why do I want to be a Barnwood Trustee?

I have been committed to working alongside disabled people and people with mental health conditions all my working life and have lived in Gloucestershire for over 20 years. So Barnwood gives me an opportunity to pursue my passion for coproducing meaningful change with the local people and communities the Trust serves.

 

What experience do I bring to the Trust?

I bring recent experience as the Chair of a local NHS Trust providing community physical and mental health and learning disability services. Originally I was a social worker and worked for MIND for several years. Then I worked at local and national level to bring about the shift from institutional to community mental health services before undertaking a series of non executive director roles in the NHS.
