What am I responsible for?

I lead Barnwood’s activity to bring disabled people and people with mental health challenges into our work to help drive change in the county.

What brings me here?

I have worked at Barnwood for a few years now, mostly in marketing, communication and events. Previously, I worked as a Theatre Manager putting together programmes of indoor and outdoor theatre, film and community performances. Before that I studied theatre and education in London. This taught me that telling and hearing stories, being involved in activities with other people and sharing a purpose can help make a positive impact.

What am I working on?

My team is looking at how we can be better connected with people in Gloucestershire, especially people who want to see changes happening for disabled people and people with mental health challenges. We want there to be lots of ways for people to be a part of our work at the Trust and for us to hear directly from people about what matters. Barnwood Circle is our new membership scheme and the main way for people to get involved.

What do I enjoy spending time doing for my own wellbeing?

My dogs Peppa and Bailey keep me well, we enjoy walks together in the woods and snuggles on the sofa. Listening to music, podcasts or audiobooks when I’m driving is also a good stressbuster for me. And, I love cheese. (She/her)
