What am I responsible for?

I work alongside disabled people and people who experience mental health challenges to connect them into our engagement activities at Barnwood.

What brings me here?

My background has always centred around making a difference and this is important to me. I have previously worked with services providing opportunities for people experiencing homelessness and social exclusion. I have a particular interest in co-production, neurodiversity and connecting with people who experience marginalisation. I feel privileged to work for an organisation that puts people with disabilities and/or mental health challenges at the heart of what they do.

What am I working on?

I am working on a pilot project to help Barnwood find the best way to engage with and hear the voices of people in the County with disabilities and mental health challenges. We want to know how people want to be heard and find out what works best.

What do I enjoy spending time doing for my own wellbeing?

I like to spend time with friends and family, enjoying music and travelling. I love world music and anything to do with Carnival culture. Participating in carnival events in the UK and abroad brings me joy and is a great outlet for my creative side. (She/her)
