Why do I want to be a Barnwood Trustee?

I have extensive experience in the Non-Profit Sector, volunteering in a number of trustee roles for charitable organisations and user led organisations providing services to people with disabilities. As a disabled person, my passion is to play a part in readdressing the balance so disabled people feel empowered and able to raise their aspirations of what is possible.

 

What experience to I bring to the Trust?

I wanted to be a trustee of Barnwood Trust to allow me to give something back to an organisation that had done so much for me, during my time of living in Gloucestershire for 10 years. I live by the motto “Nothing About Us, Without Us” and strive to humanise decision makers and policy holders.
