What am I responsible for?

My job is to make sure that all Barnwood employees and trustees are kept informed and motivated through regular communications.  I manage our intranet and write our monthly newsletter with a big focus on accessibility and inclusion running throughout everything that we share.

I am currently working on designing and rolling out an Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) tool to help us analyse our policies, practices and decision-making to make sure that they do not discriminate or disadvantage people whilst at the same time ensure seek to improve and promote equality.

What brings me here?

I joined the Trust in 2016 having previously worked in Marketing & Communications roles for both local independent and global businesses.  I’ve always been passionate about inclusion and communicating in a way that is clear and uniting.

What do I enjoy spending time doing for my own wellbeing?

I love going for long walks and and I am trying to embrace running although it’s a love/hate relationship at the moment. I also enjoy cooking for friends and family and getting lost in a good book. All of these things make me feel good and give me a sense of achievement. (She/her)
